Privacy policy
1. General information
eContinence AB, company registration number 559326-4244, Eriksbergsvägen 27, 831 43 Östersund, Sweden (“eContinence”, “we” or “us”) provides the Tät® mobile application for the treatment of stress urinary incontinence and for pelvic floor muscle training.
We care about our privacy. This policy describes how we handle the personal data and anonymised data that may arise through the use of the app.
2. What data do we collect?
Usage data:
- We do not collect personal data linked to usage, exercises or other activity in the app. All such data is fully anonymised and cannot be linked to any individual.
- In order to show the user statistics in the app (e.g. which pelvic floor exercises have been performed and when), some usage statistics are saved locally on the user’s own device.
- This information never leaves the device (your phone or tablet) and cannot be seen or accessed by eContinence AB or any other party.
- There is no way to track that you have the app via an IP address, phone number or IMEI code. When you download the app via App Store or Google Play, the app is assigned a user-device ID, which you can find under “About” in the app. This ID is unique to the particular app you have downloaded, and you can use it when communicating with us for support. If you do so, this particular ID can be linked to the email address and name you use in email contact with us and we can check the device ID against data relating to the type of subscription, but no other data.
Purchase history
- If you register an account with an email address through any of our partners in order to access the app, we will store:
- Name and e-mail
- Type of subscription
- eContinence disclaims all responsibility for Apple’s and Google’s collection and processing of personal data when the Tät® app is downloaded via App Store or Google Play and when payment is made via Apple’s and Google’s payment services. In this regard, eContinence AB refers to Apple’s and Google’s privacy policies.
App diagnostics
- In order to continuously monitor the performance of the application, we use the anonymised data that Apple and Google collect on usage frequency, performance and crashes.
3. Why do we collect data?
We collect and process data for the following purposes:
- Email address: To manage the purchase of a subscription or direct purchases via one of our partners.
- Local usage statistics on the device: to provide the user with an overview of their own training and progress. This data never leaves the device.
4. On what basis do we process the data?
The processing of e-mail addresses is based on the existing personal data policy of the partner offering the app and the user’s consent to eContinence AB storing and processing their e-mail address.
As the email address is considered personal data, the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) applies to this limited processing.
All other data in the app is anonymised or stored locally on the user’s device and is therefore not subject to the GDPR.
5. Do we share your data with anyone?
eContinence AB does not share email addresses or other information with third parties, except when such is required to enable the partner/organisation providing the app to you to administer your account .
If you communicate with us via the contact form, you provide your name and e-mail address and authorise us to process this data before the message can be sent to our customer contact. We cannot in any way link your email address or your name to your usage of the app. We do not share any data with third parties except those handled by Google and Apple for in-app purchases.
6. Is the data stored securely?
All data transfer between the app and our server is encrypted. All data is kept on a secure server in Sweden. The information in the Tät® ap,p that is not shared with anyone, is accessible via the device. If you want to make sure that no one else sees your information, you should set a password on the app, which you can do under “Settings” in the app.
7. Response to legal requests
We may share email addresses with authorities or courts if required by law or to protect against illegal activity.As the rest of the app data is anonymised or only stored locally on the user’s device, there is no personal data to be disclosed from these parts.
8. For how long do we store your particulars?
- Email address: stored for as long as the account is active and then for up to 24 months, unless there are legal reasons to keep the data for longer.
- Anonymised data: used continuously for statistical and development purposes with no time limit as such data cannot be linked to any individual.
- Local data on the device: stored for as long as the app is installed on the phone and deleted if the app is uninstalled.
9. Children
The Tät® app is intended for adult women and not for children under the age of 18.
If you believe we have inadvertently stored an email address from a person under the age of 18, please contact us and we will remove it.
10. Your rights
You have the right to:
- Access the email address we have for you
- Request rectification or erasure
- Request restriction of processing or object to it
- Have your data transferred to another data controller (data portability)
These rights do not apply for anonymised data and local statistics, as this information is not linked to an identifiable person.
